About Us
Natanel (Nir) Saar, R.Ac, NLP Master Practitioner
I believe that effective healing happens when acupuncture treatment is as gentle as it is effective.
With over 17 years of clinical experience, I specialize in a constitutional approach to acupuncture. By combining precise assessment with ultra-fine needles, I help calm an overworked nervous system while addressing the underlying causes of pain and structural conditions.
I use constitutional acupuncture to balance the body's internal organ systems, creating a grounded physical foundation that supports the body's natural ability to heal.
For clients seeking support beyond physical symptoms, I offer an integrated approach that combines acupuncture with Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).
This allows me to address both the physical and emotional aspects of healing.
I provide a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where clients can gently process emotional experiences, reframe limiting patterns, resolve long-standing emotional triggers, and develop greater resilience and balance.

Fibromyalgia
Fibromyalgia is a complex chronic condition characterized by widespread pain, fatigue, sleep disturbances, and cognitive difficulties.
Modern medicine understands it as a disorder of pain processing, known as nociplastic pain, where the nervous system becomes more sensitive and reactive.
While there is no single identified cause, research suggests fibromyalgia develops through a combination of nervous system changes, genetic factors, and physical or emotional stressors.
Key Mechanisms
Central Sensitization
The nervous system becomes hypersensitive, amplifying normal sensations into pain and reducing the body's natural ability to calm pain signals.
Neuroinflammation
Low-level inflammation within the nervous system may contribute to ongoing pain sensitivity and fatigue.
Autonomic Nervous System Dysregulation
A chronic stress response can keep the body in a state of heightened alert, affecting sleep, energy, digestion, and emotional regulation.
Small Fiber Nerve Changes
Some individuals with fibromyalgia show signs of peripheral nerve irritation, which may contribute to ongoing pain signaling.
Common Triggers & Risk Factors
Fibromyalgia often develops when a predisposition is combined with a significant stressor, such as:
-
Genetic vulnerability
-
Physical trauma or injury
-
Infections or post-viral conditions
-
Chronic emotional stress, childhood adversity, or trauma
-
Other chronic pain or autoimmune conditions
Understanding fibromyalgia as a condition involving the nervous system—not just the muscles and joints—helps guide a more comprehensive approach to healing and management.

Treatment Approach
Traditional Chinese Medicine & Fibromyalgia
How Acupuncture Supports Fibromyalgia
Because fibromyalgia involves central sensitization, where the nervous system amplifies pain signals, acupuncture works by calming and regulating the nervous system rather than only addressing local pain.
Through neurochemical regulation, nervous system balancing, and improved pain processing, acupuncture may help reduce multiple fibromyalgia symptoms.
1. Regulating Pain Sensitivity
Acupuncture can support the body's natural pain-modulating systems by:
-
Activating pathways that help reduce amplified pain signals
-
Supporting the release of natural pain-relieving chemicals
-
Reducing nervous system inflammation and sensitivity
2. Calming the Nervous System
Fibromyalgia is often associated with chronic stress activation and sympathetic ("fight-or-flight") dominance.
Acupuncture helps encourage parasympathetic ("rest-and-digest") activity, which may support:
-
Reduced muscle tension and anxiety
-
Improved sleep quality
-
Better stress regulation and energy balance
3. Traditional Chinese Medicine Perspective
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), fibromyalgia is viewed as a complex imbalance involving pain, fatigue, emotional stress, and reduced vitality.
Treatment is individualized and may address patterns such as:
-
Qi Stagnation – associated with stress, tension, and widespread pain
-
Spleen and Kidney Deficiency – associated with fatigue, brain fog, and low vitality
-
Heart Blood and Yin Deficiency – associated with poor sleep and emotional unrest
What Research Suggests
Clinical studies suggest acupuncture may support people with fibromyalgia by helping to:
-
Reduce pain
-
Improve sleep quality
-
Decrease fatigue and anxiety
Acupuncture is most effective when combined with a comprehensive approach that addresses the nervous system, physical symptoms, emotional well-being, and lifestyle factors.
Fibromyalgia: Mental Health perspective & NLP
Fibromyalgia is not "all in the mind." It is a complex condition where the nervous system, emotions, and physical symptoms interact. Stress, trauma, anxiety, and emotional patterns can influence how the brain processes pain and regulate the body's response.
The Pain–Emotion Connection
The brain uses overlapping pathways to process physical pain and emotional distress. When the nervous system remains in a heightened stress state, pain sensitivity can increase, sleep can be disrupted, and the body's ability to regulate itself can become impaired.
Common Emotional Challenges Associated with Fibromyalgia
Many people with fibromyalgia experience:
-
Anxiety and chronic stress
-
Depression and emotional exhaustion
-
Trauma-related symptoms or PTSD
-
Fear of movement and increased sensitivity to body sensations
-
Grief related to changes in health, identity, and lifestyle
Certain patterns can also maintain symptoms, such as focusing on worst-case outcomes, pushing beyond physical limits, or cycling between overactivity and exhaustion.
A Mind–Body Approach to Fibromyalgia
Because fibromyalgia involves both the nervous system and emotional well-being, a comprehensive approach can include:
Acupuncture
Supporting nervous system regulation, reducing pain sensitivity, improving sleep, and promoting overall balance.
NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming)
Exploring emotional patterns, supporting trauma healing, reframing limiting beliefs, and building inner resources for resilience and positive change.
Together, these approaches support healing on multiple levels—helping you manage symptoms, restore balance, and reconnect with a greater sense of vitality and purpose.
Fibromyalgia Management Suggested Approach:
NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming)
Alternating NLP sessions with acupuncture allows us to support both the nervous system and the emotional patterns that influence well-being.
Through this work, we can:
-
Explore and heal emotional root causes
-
Navigate life transitions with greater clarity and resilience
-
Support emotional challenges such as anxiety, grief, depression, and trauma-related symptoms
-
Strengthen motivation, inner resources, and a sense of purpose
-
Access, reframe, and integrate unresolved emotional experiences
